Grand Anse
If it's your first time, stay here. The island's best-known beach, a walkable strip of resorts and small hotels, restaurants and bars within strolling distance, and an easy fifteen minutes from the airport. You can have a full holiday without ever needing a car — which suits a lot of people just fine.
Lance aux Épines & True Blue
The south peninsula is calmer and more residential — villas and guesthouses, a couple of marinas, and some of the island's best waterside restaurants around Prickly Bay. Good for couples, sailors, and anyone who wants a quieter base but still wants to be ten minutes from Grand Anse and town.
St. George's & the Lagoon
Stay in or above the capital and you trade beachfront for character — harbour views, the market on your doorstep, and the most local feel of anywhere on the island. Best for return visitors and travellers who'd rather be in a real working town than a resort strip.
The secluded coasts
For real quiet, look to La Sagesse and the south-east, the headlands above Morne Rouge, or the far north. And if your idea of a holiday is no schedule at all, base yourself on Carriacou — a handful of small guesthouses, empty beaches, and nothing you have to do. You'll want a transfer or driver arranged out here, since these spots are a fair way from town.
